My mission is to support people in expressing their genius, to be fulfilled and unstoppable in their life and work while creating the conditions for others to be the same.

I believe every one of us has tremendous talent and we need to unleash it fully to tackle the complex, important challenges the world is facing. The problem is, we make it hard for ourselves and others to operate at that level. We don’t do it on purpose, but it happens every day.

MY STORY

Early in my career, I believed that success comes from hard work and smarts. My experiences largely supported that thinking until I started seeing lots of people – myself included – doing just that and yet feeling dissatisfied and not quite able to get where they wanted.

I sensed there was a lot of potential being left untapped in every workplace, spurring my desire to get into the field of adult development.

When I began coaching, my well-meaning intent was to fix my clients’ leadership approach.

This helped them resolve short-term issues, but over time I would watch them fall back into old patterns and face the same obstacles over and over.

I realized I needed to stop looking for a problem or fault and focus on my clients as humans with uniquely layered – and mostly unconscious! – ways of making sense of themselves and their environment.

Suddenly, there was no more “right” or “wrong”; just multiple perspectives at play, each influencing behavior differently and often creating conflict between what my clients desired and how they were showing up.

The work became about bringing into focus the self-reinforcing systems that keep them stuck despite their best efforts and then figuring out how to minimize or completely remove the obstacles to fully expressing their genius.

The result? More substantial and lasting change.
